On 15^th December 2011, a search raid was conducted by Bihar Police in Patna City at Golakpur, Patna (Bihar) after getting information that in Golakpur, there is some Binders who are binding pirated books. Anti Piracy Cell investigates the binding house located in Golakpur area thoroughly and during investigation, Anti Piracy Cell found that information was correct and after complete confirmation, Sanjeev Kumar Raghav, Head Anti Piracy Cell met with S.S.P Mr. Alok Kumar, Patna Police and lodge a complaint for a rapid action on the binders. S.S.P Mr. Alok Kumar gave order to SHO Asrar Ahmed to conduct raid. A search raid was immediately conducted the next day. S.H.O of Pir Bahor Police Station in Patna takes armed forces with three Sub Inspectors to the spot on Golakpur, Patna. Anti Piracy Cell of S. Chand with Police force enter in Binding house and capture the owner of the binding house named Islam. Many of our pirated books named Ankganit , Quantitative Aptitude (in Hindi), and Objective General English where total 3995 pirated books of S. CHAND AND COMPANY LTD. were recovered . Mohd. Islam owner of Binding house was arrested and register a criminal case against him U/S 63/68 Copy right Act and u/s 420,467,468,471 and 120(B) IPC sent to Dist.court. Dist. Court sent accused jail for 14 days judicial custody. Police are investigating this matter thoroughly and will be arresting more accused indulging in book piracy.
