For S. CHAND, years of dedication and work has not gone unnoticed, in fact, the company has garnered many accolades and appreciations. The founder of the company Late Mr. Shyam Lal Gupta received the prestigious Padma Shree award in 1969. FPBAI Life Time Achievement Award has been given to Late Mr. Rajendra Kumar Gupta, Managing Director, S. Chand Group. The Company was the first recipient of the Best Publisher Award by the University Grants Commission. The company was recipient of Best Publisher Award from Central Board of Secondary Education. It also received the Best Publisher award from Several State Boards in secondary and higher education. It was the first publishing house in India to be certified for ISO 9001:2000. |

Though there was a steady stream of awards across the years, we realise that awards are not an end in itself. It is merely a culmination of the sincere efforts being put in by each and every individual associated in this process of giving the education system a positive upliftment in the country. To ensure that these thoughts are translated into reality and do not remain mere words on some vision statement papers and presentations, the company itself has instituted the S. CHAND Educational Awards for meritorious services and achievements in the field of education. S. CHAND does not let go off any opportunity where it can help in strengthening the existing facilities to impart quality education. To achieve this goal, the Company had funded the establishment of a world-class library at the American Institute of Indian Studies, Gurgaon, India. |
